About K's Diner
Owner Karen started cooking at 15 years old while attending Stelly’s High School in Brentwood Bay on the Saanich Peninsula. Stelly’s High School offered an extensive culinary program. After graduation, Karen enrolled and graduated in the top of her class at VVI (Vancouver Vocational Institute) in the Industrial Baking program.
Moving to Toronto, Karen worked in a few high end restaurants. After winning multiple awards for her pastries, Karen relocated back to home to Vancouver Island, opening K’s Diner in Parksville.
The menu offers breakfast dishes, salads, sandwiches, soups, and baked goods made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. K’s Diner is famous for their eggs benny! A must try other than their traditional benny is their crab & shrimp benny or the smoked salmon lox benny.
Always made-fresh bison, elk and kangaroo burgers along with reuben and clubhouse sandwiches are lunch time favourites. Other must-try meals are the beef dip or gyros !
The staff is attentive and dedicated to ensuring a memorable dining experience. K’s Diner is committed to sustainability and community building by supporting local farms and suppliers. This welcoming diner is a must-visit destination for anyone in Parksville looking for yummy locally-sourced food and hospitality.
